Name: Meredith Pathria

Hometown: Encinitas, CA

Background: I ran both XC and track in high school (at San Dieguito High School in the mid 80s), then pretty much stopped running for more than 20 years until 2010. Since then I have been racing 8-10 times a year, doing mostly 5ks with some 10ks and 1/2 marathons, 1 full marathon, and various distances of triathlons, including a 1/2 Ironman.

Racing competitively since: 1985

PRs: (These are all Masters PRs)

Resolution Run | 2024 | 20:02

Athleta IronGirl 10k | 2013 | 41:19

Carlsbad 1/2 Marathon | 2014 | 1:33:48

Highlights:

Overall female winner, 2013 La Jolla 5k

Overall female winner, 2016 Hot Chocolate 5k

Overall female winner, 2018 Surfing Madonna Beach Run

Overall female winner, 2019 La Jolla 5k

Favorite race: The La Jolla 5k. It was the first race I did after getting back into running at the age of 39, and I try to do it every year.

Favorite workout: 200m repeats

Why I choose to run for PRT: It's very inspiring to be surrounded by such a talented group of runners. I enjoy encouraging and supporting my teammates and seeing their successes. If I am able to set any PRs in my 50s, they will be a direct result of the training I have done with this team.

Favorite PRT memory: Winning the female relay division at CIM 2023 with fellow teammate Margi!

What I like to do besides running: Bake, read, listen to audiobooks, watch my teenage son play soccer (yep, I'm a soccer mom), make TikToks with my 2 teenagers, travel with my family, take way too many photos (mostly of my kids and my cats), and do math puzzles.
