Background: I was a recreational runner until my late 50’s at which point I got serious about improving my speed. Being goals oriented, I started focusing on setting a new PR each year at the Carlsbad 5000 which I have managed to achieve so far.

Competitive running began with the 2015 Dirt Dog XC series.

    5k – 18:53 (2016, Carlsbad 5000, age 58) 

    10k – 39:56 (2015, Scripps Ranch Old Pros, age 57)
