Robert Verhees

Hometown:  ??? Born in Alameda, CA. but moved every 3-4 years with Air Force dad.  Lived in some pretty cool places: England, Germany, New Hampshire, etc.

Background:  A professional artist, I have raised my family with metal sculpture and furniture, glass blowing, and many other crazy projects.

Growing up I played just about every sport there is except running including baseball, football, basketball, soccer, skiing/snowboarding, motocross, ultimate Frisbee, surfing, golf, etc.  Always in pretty good shape until my mid 40’s when I realized I was getting fat and tired.  Inspired by my XC and track studette of a daughter I started running and soon realized I loved it and was pretty good at it myself.

Words to live by:  JUST DO IT

Why PRT?:  A small, well organized, and competitive team full of fast cool people.

What do I do besides running?:  My wife and 3 kids take up just about every spare hour but surfing is probably my first go to thing that I do for myself.
