Luis De La Vega

Hometown: Bell Gardens, CA
Background: Born August 18, 1985 in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico but came here at age 7 to Los Angeles. From 2003-2007, I attended Concordia University where I competed in NAIA Div. 1 XC and Track. I was a 400, 400IH, and 800 meter athlete, and never did a long distance event in track. I graduated with a degree in Excercise Sports Science with an emphasis in Education. I then attended IPSB and graduated with a Holistic Health Practitioner Certification. Now I work as a body worker and compete in long distance races.

I've been racing competitively since my sophomore year of high school.

Why you choose to run for PRT:  I got faster after college and wanted to stay in shape and compete for a team, when I came to San Diego I found a small group of guys who were the Lost Boys.

What I like to do besides running... I like competing and training for triathlons, outdoors activities, watching movies, and spending time with my little one Yaretzi.
